The Constitution of India
₹450
On 26 January 1950, a 200-year colonial chapter closed in India. Power was handed not to a king or a party, but to its people, through the Constitution of India. The world's longest written constitution, it declared every citizen sovereign, equal before the law, and free.
Dr BR Ambedkar, its chief architect, led a Constituent Assembly of 389 members through 11 sessions spanning nearly three years—binding a nation of staggering diversity in one thread.
Drawing from constitutions across the globe, it enshrines justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity as the founding promises of the world's largest democracy, and continues to evolve as the nation does.
